Membership
Rules
Membership is subject to eligibility, and for all aged 8 years and over. Fees are collected on a yearly basis, usually at the Diwali function and are to be paid by the head member of the family. There is one set fee for all; no concessions.
The emphasis is on the individual to ensure that his/her membership as well as all due members within the family is kept up to date.
If membership is not paid for 3 consecutive years, and no response is received following formal reminders, the membership will be terminated. Re-admission will only be accepted after all outstanding fees are paid.
Voting
Primary Voting Rights apply to all members aged 18 years and over. This right is for decisions affecting the future course and direction of the community and/or has a bearing on financial resources of the community.
Secondary Voting Rights apply to all members aged 16 years and over. This right is extended to younger members of the community to encourage participation in organising activities and brining other non-financial issues to the forefront.
